Muay Thai Kickboxing Adults

Muay Thai Kickboxing (an import from Thailand) has been called, “The Art Of 8 Limbs” due to the use of fists, elbows, knees, and shins – and it makes for a complete stand-up martial artist. Muay Thai rose to international prominence during the 20th century, due to its fighters defeating notable practitioners of other martial arts.

We keep the authenticity of the art of Muay Thai in our classes. This is NOT a cardio-kickboxing class – it is a Muay Thai Kickboxing class – with the BENEFITS of Cardio!

While most kickboxing classes use only hands and feet, our Muay Thai training uses hands, feet, elbows, knees, shins, clinch work and on-balancing techniques to ensure that you get the complete benefit of kickboxing in your workout.

Our Kids Muay Thai Classes (ages 5-15) are 1 hour each. CLICK HERE FOR KIDS CLASSES

Adult classes are 1.5 hours in length and begin with jump-roping to warm you up!

What Our Students Say…

Shadow Boxing

Next, we go through the fundamentals of striking, where you practice on your own, doing kicks, punches, knees, elbows and combinations. This process helps you to continue warming up and perfecting your skills, before training with a partner. We call this “SHADOW BOXING”.

Partner Training

Next, the instructor will show you a new technique or combination of strikes to the class. Students then put on safety equipment (such as hand pads/mitts, chest pads and shin protectors) and pair off with partners to practice the new moves they’ve learned.

Sparring (Advanced Students Only)

Once you have achieved a comfortable level of mastery with your Muay-Thai practice, you may choose to spar with other advanced students. Sparring provides you with the experience of using your skills to actively engage your opponent (while they are trying to attack you). This provides you with the skills needed to protect yourself in real self-defense situation or if you choose to compete.

NOTE: Sparring is completely optional – only for students who feel comfortable doing it (NO pressure!)

Group Exercises

After general training, we form a circle and do some additional calisthenics to help strengthen your body and increase endurance.

Heart Healthy – Weight Loss

Muay-Thai Kickboxing is one of the BEST ways for you to lose weight and get in shape, while developing more poise and self-confidence.
